My countdown to the rainy season and the end to fire season begins today. Yes, I know, I don't know the exact date it will rain, and fire season isn't called off after the first rainfall but I do know that often we get our first rain around the last week of September. So, I'm counting down to then with hopes it actually decides to rain earlier rather than later. I'll be marking it off in big red X's on the calendar - 60 more days until it rains
Heck of a way to spend your summer :) I'm glad you're hating the fires, not a victim of them!
ReplyDeleteI do understand the circumstances and the feelings you and your neighbours are experiencing. We were present at the Kelowna fires in 2003 and the tension was palpable. With luck, some rain will fall soon!
