Sox that rock
I got back to some sox that have been on the needles for months, don't even remember how many months. Finished the first sock 2 nights ago and got started on the second, did some knitting last night and am now down to the heel. Hoping to finish these up knitting in the evening this week. These are thicker sox than my usual but I loved the colors so much I couldn't resist - the yarn they're knit out of is Indulgence 6 Ply Distrato from Knitting Fever using size 3 needles. I like them so much I might have to stop at Middleford Yarn when in Medford next to pick up some more in another colorway. I cast on 52 stitches for this size yarn.

Pretty! Isn't it amazing how socks either knit up very fast or they go really slow as they spend long amounts of time sitting in project bags somewhere just waiting to get finished. lol I have a pair of lace ones that were so challenging that they've been in time out for years. I was just thinking of them yesterday. Hmmm...maybe I should pull them out. Nah...I'm having too much fun with other stuff. lol
ReplyDeleteLove the color combination! I'm a big fan of cool colors :)
ReplyDeleteOh pretty! I don't even know where Middleford Yarn is these days they've moved so much.
ReplyDeleteThey're right in downtown Medford on Central, left side of the road before you hit Main (if coming from the mall exit). That being said I haven't been to the new location yet, just not over there often enough these days and run out of time when I am but I might have to stop next time and pick up another colorway of this yarn.
