Treasures from the beach

Usually on our beach walks the type of treasures we find are just shells, fossils and a pretty rock here and there (I still haven't figure out what's an agate or just a rock). But the other day I spotted these two buoys for marking crab pots. They were hung up in the rocks of the seawall........I made Sam go out there and retrieve them. Usually when I find treasures like this on the beach I'll make a statement that they must have come from the tsunami debris from Japan.....don't think I can get away with that this time with the numbers on the side.

  1. Sure you can, Japanese use Romanji for numerals...could be debris from the tsunami but the buoys look new to me, not enough weathering.

    1. Thank you! I didn't know that so now I can say they came from the Japanese tsunami.....even though that's highly improbable.

    1. And if the crabber does knock on the door I'll be happy to give them back to him - no way of knowing who they belong to right now.........and maybe he'll give me some tips on crabbing off the dock!

    1. Oh Sam didn't have to go out in the water to get these, they were tangled up in the rocks on the beach side. He wouldn't have braved the water to get anything......well, maybe a very expensive golf club....
