Small town parade....

Small town America 4th of July parade....
...the Coast Guard float - that cute little lady in the hat is the grandma of a Japanese family, she speaks no english but she waved at all the military floats and collected candy thrown for her grandson.....her grandson who was very taken with Bailey.....

...can't remember what this float was but it was colorful.....
....very nice float but no comment on separation of church and state from me....you don't need to hear it....
....lots of fun old cars.....lots of very fun corvettes that I was looking at but never raised the phone to take a picture of.....
....and my favorite....the native americans with dog toting another dog behind him.....it's hard to see the dog being toted but it's a tiny one who was enjoying his ride....  Fun little parade but no band....where was the high school band? probably on vacation elsewhere.....

  1. It certainly looks like a great little parade! I can't believe there was no band! Did they have any musicians on floats?

  3. There were drums with the military guard and later a few bagpipers...that's it....can't remember if there was any recorded music on a float. But even sitting at the end of the parade there was still plenty of candy being thrown and popsicles given out.....my orange one dripped on my white tee.
