Loving twill......

Late last week I did the dreaded photography work on the latest towels off the loom. Some of them are now listed in my etsy shop for sale. Check them out in the handwoven towel section of my SHOP.

I have a table runner warp (for gifts) on the loom now but have only auditioned weft colors so far. Hoping to get back to it in the next few days but the nice weather is continuing this morning and the garden/yard clean up has been calling.  Grapes have been pruned, as well as 2 apple and 2 plum trees, perennials cut back, new growth can already be seen. Two new raised garden beds have been added to the other two - one is already filled with new strawberry plants. It's time to plant snap peas so I must get those in the ground, everything else will wait a bit, still a little too chilly. There is lettuce growing in the 'toy' greenhouse, it will most probably be ready to start picking this week. 

 

Etsy shop update

Newly woven towels up for sale in my etsy shop. I love the spring/coastal/beach/seaglass look of these.

It was tough not to keep all of them as my towel drawer is full but I did manage to squeeze one more towel in for my own use.

For anyone that hasn't ever used a handwoven towel they're really missing out.  They last what seems like forever. I wash and dry mine weekly and they just keep looking nice for years. I could never go back to store bought hand towels for kitchen or bath.........well, except for the cute embroidered towels I create and sell in my etsy shop.........

New Handwoven Towels in Etsy Shop

I'm trying very hard to get photography work done so I can list more handwovens in my etsy shop. I just listed a number of towels this morning. There are two each of each towel in the shop now, $20 a piece. Handwoven towels are the best, I wash and dry mine week after week, year after year and they take forever to even look worn. The pictures are a sampling of how they look finished, close-up, on the loom. There are 2 in the dark green, 2 brown in the forest huck towels. In the huck lace towels there are 2 peach, 2 mint green and 2 tan.

The plan for this week is to get up a number of my handwoven scarves too, many handpainted, some chenille, tencel, wool, alpaca or rayon. Photos just need editing on those. Then when I'm ready to set up for more photos I've got hand-dyed silk scarves and felted soaps to get up in the shop.
