The only spinning I've done lately is more samples of
Ashland Bay Fibers. Most of these are merino, a couple colonial, merino/bamboo and merino/tussah. This spinning is very fun, spin a bit of a color, andean ply it and then move on to the next color. This is the last of the samples to be spun for a while so I'll have to pick out something from the stash for my next spinning.
I can relate to the what-to-spin-next dilemma. I just try to think ahead so that I spin something that I can use. I always seem to have more spun up than projects.
ReplyDeleteI usually spin just to spin - it's my relaxation time but have occasionally spun for a specific project. What happens is that I get handspun on the shelves waiting for the perfect project which usually ends up to be something that requires more yardage than I have. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to spin up some black to go with some recent handspun as the base color in fair isle knitting or start something else totally different. Decisions, decisions..........
